Cassidy,
I hope you are reading this. If you are reading this, it means you are alive. Instead of perishing in that town under the water, you are alive and have no idea how you are alive, almost as though it was magic. To be quite honest, it very well might be.
If you are reading this, do not expect to ever see me in Crystal Cove again.
I have been away for some time-over a month, specifically. In this time, I have come to some realizations about myself. That I have been a horrible being. I have done awful things. Unforgivable things. To the point that I will not be surprised if had thrown this letter away as soon as you realized it was from me. I understand it, at this point, because if you are reading this? Then I have only continued to be horrible, even when away from that town-and from that treasure.
If you are still reading, I can only ask one thing of you. Continue helping them. Frederick and Daphne and Velma andNorville Shaggy and even Scooby. I know they will never understand-I doubt you will ever understand, but they need all the help they can get for what will come next.
And if you are able to, please try to help Ricky. At this point, I expect Brad and Judy have gone too far. By now, they have betrayed their own child for the treasure, but there may be hope for him. If there is anyone who could bring him to his senses, I know it is you.
This is the only letter I have chosen to write before initiating my plan. It will not be the last, only the one I needed to write to prepare myself for the inevitable. You will never forgive me, and I will understand, because you were always right.
Please, live a long and happy life Cassidy. One free of the horrors that treasure-and that sarcophagus-brings with it.
